Meditation

The difference between Meditation and thinking is whether the concentrated Attention is on Content or avoiding it. Avoiding it (difficult for us Westerners) brings a natural focus to the Process by which we perceive and process that information. When even that is gently laid aside for later, the Empty Mind falls into the Universal Mind for a brief period of Enlightenment.

 

Then, you come back, and attend to your daily tasks with a feeling everything is worth it, you are the Hero of an Epic Poem, your Path is obvious once you notice the Stepping Stones in the swiftly flowing river of Life that were before unnoticed. As the Zen Cohen says, “Chop Wood, Carry water” and the Yi Ching advises “Wait like a Mountain, Pounce like a Tiger”.
