Comments: Freemason; In 1722 he was elected to a committee of the “Fourteen Learned Brethren” to draft a Constitution for the Premier Grand Lodge. Working closely with Rev. John Theophilus Desaguliers, a French Protestant minister, and also a member of the Royal Society; used The Roll of the Newcastle College of Rosicrucians manuscript, 1704, in his research, was charged with converting Stuart Freemasonry into the Hanoverian Grand Lodge of England; Creator of the Modern Freemasonry Masonic Rites with John Theophilus Desaguliers;
